Holly Cairns is the ideal example of a candidate for whom every single vote matters.
In 2019, she was elected as a first-time councillor in Bantry-West Cork on Cork County Council by one vote. Not even a year later, she was elected as a TD and, four years after that, her party has now faced the first electoral test of her leadership.
