Moment bumbling Biden calls himself a ‘black woman’ in painful interview

PRESIDENT Joe Biden has described himself as a “black woman” during a stammering radio interview.

The bumbling commander-in-chief, 81, appeared to confuse himself with Vice President Kamala Harris during the awkward chat.

Just days before he told an emergency summit of Democratic colleagues of his plans to enact a self-imposed curfew, axing all public events past 8pm.

Biden, speaking to Philadelphia station WURD on Thursday, said: “I’m proud to be, as I said, the first vice president, first black woman… to serve with a black president.”

He previously served as VP to President Barack Obama, America’s first black president, and likely the source of his confusion.

The stilted radio appearance is the latest in a string of blunders Biden has been ridiculed for, with even members of his own party questioning his coherence.

At 81, Biden is the US’ oldest president in history and has long been the subject of discussions around his mental sharpness.

The radio interview was Biden’s first since his disastrous debate with former president Donald Trump, 78, last week on CNN.

He told the station: “I had a bad debate. But 90 minutes on stage doesn’t erase what I’ve done for three and a half years.”

Members of Biden’s own Democrat party dubbed the TV spectacle as an “unmitigated disaster”, “a meltdown”, and “a slow-motion car crash”.

The White House came out in defence of the president and said he was suffering from a cold and a sore throat during the debate.

His voice from the off was hushed and he often stumbled over certain answers or lost his train of thought entirely.

It was a far cry from the concise speaking Biden who battled Trump during the presidential debates of 2020.

Despite repeated calls from politicians and even US media outlets, Biden has doubled down on his plans to stay until the bitter end.

This week he insisted: “Let me say this as clearly as I possibly can, as simply and straightforward as I can: I am running.

“Let me say this as clearly as I possibly can, as simply and straightforward as I can: I am running.”

Biden made the comments to a host of Democratic colleagues, some who travelled all the way to DC for an emergency summit on the PR crisis of Biden’s stammering performance, NBC reports.

During the same meeting he admitted that he needs to limit his work hours and get more sleep – even if means missing important events.

“President [George W.] Bush went to bed at 9, and President [Barack] Obama made dinner at 6:30,” Biden-Harris campaign spokesman Kevin Munoz said in a statement to the New York Times.

“Normal presidents strike a balance, and so does Joe Biden. Hardly the same rigor as Donald Trump who spends half of his day ranting on Truth Social about plans that would cause a recession and the other half golfing.”

Yesterday a video surfaced of Trump on his Truth Social network branding Biden a “broken down pile of c**p” and Kamala Harris “pathetic”.

The former US president ranted from his seat on a golf buggy and made a false claim that Biden had withdrawn from the presidential race.

Appearing to hand over a cash tip on the golf course to several supporters, Trump said: “How did they do in the debate the other day?”

He then referred to “that old broken down pile of c**p”, echoing his earlier taunts about Biden’s performance during their first head-to-head debate.

Biden bizarrely admitted that he almost fell asleep during the bumbling screening – which saw members of his own party call for him to quit.

In the footage shared on Trump’s own Truth Social network, he claimed Kamala would be taking over from Biden despite repeated comments from his camp which insist he won’t quit.

The MAGA leader ranted: “He just quit you know, he’s quitting the race, he’s out of the race.”

He continued: “And that means we have Kamala [Harris]… She’s so bad, she’s so pathetic, she’s so f*****g bad.”

In a patronising sneer, Trump added: “Can you imagine that girl dealing with Putin and the president of China who is a very fierce person?”

President Vladimir Putin has bizarrely said he backs President Biden to win the election in November.

He admitted to watching the painful debate and added: “I saw some fragments — but I have enough to do.
